Nova Scotia is home to a wealth of beautiful old buildings and facilities that have withstood the test of time. Villa St Joseph is a perfect example. Originally constructed as a hotel in the 1930s, it has been providing nursing care services to the Yarmouth area since its conversion to a residential care facility for the elderly in 1958. Since then, the administrators have been looking for ways to provide top of the line services to their residents while remaining financially savvy, with a view to minimizing costs and maximizing quality of life. That's why they teamed up with Doctor Solar to install this 24 collector solar thermal array to help reduce their hot water heating costs. Thanks to their solar system, Villa St Joseph will enjoy low energy costs and increased environmental and financial sustainability for generations to come.
